About Tandem Skydiving
Tandem skydiving is a popular form of skydiving where a student skydiver is attached to a harness connected to a tandem instructor. The instructor guides the student through the whole jump from exit through freefall, piloting the canopy, and landing. This method is an introductory way for novices to experience skydiving with the safety and security of being connected to an experienced skydiver.

A typical tandem skydiving experience starts with a brief training session that covers the basics of skydiving, including body position during freefall, canopy control, and landing procedures. After the training, the student and the instructor gear up, which includes donning a jumpsuit, goggles, and the tandem harness system. The harness system securely connects the student in front of the instructor.

The jump itself involves boarding an aircraft and ascending to the jump altitude, which commonly ranges between 10,000 and 15,000 feet. Once at altitude, the instructor and student exit the aircraft together and experience freefall, reaching speeds of up to 120 mph (approximately 200 km/h) for typically 30 to 60 seconds, depending on the altitude. After freefall, the instructor deploys the parachute, and they both glide under the canopy for several minutes, enjoying views of the surrounding landscape before landing safely back on the ground.

Tandem skydiving is designed to ensure the safety of participants with minimal training and provides a thrilling way to experience the sport without requiring the extensive training and certification needed for solo jumps. It's a popular choice for those looking to experience the thrill of skydiving for the first time.
